As with other prices for canned goods, it is difficult to make comparisons, as neither the size of the can nor the quality of the salmon were specified on the 1911 product. Canned salmon was another ‘high tea’ Sunday treat: today much of the market for canned meats and fish has been replaced by fresh foods. The 2001 price is for 180g pink salmon.
