The mosaics were part of the 'house style' that
John James Sainsbury devised. Subtle shades of grey, blue, green and brown
were used. They were produced by Minton Hollins who also did the tiles.
Minton's laid the mosaics, employing Italian craftsmen to construct
them. The one on the left was a typical entrance mosaic. |
The mosaic on the right was used around the edge of the shop floor. |
